Hey guys!!I am so happy to write to you again and this time I thought something that will be like an instant boost of motivation to everyone out there.
So its Sunday night! It seems to me as though the weekends just disappear in the blink of an eye. It’s that time of the day where one needs to get sorted out on the priorities for the week ahead.
If you feel puzzled into the process of planning and to straighten up yourself for the week, then I recommend you to stick around till the very end of this post.
So, let’s begin with my 5 tips that one must follow for a Productive week
(i) Plan Plan Plan!!!
I cannot stress the importance of planning at this particular time. It is natural that you feel overwhelmed by the amount of tasks that you have. I can understand that they are constantly running in your head and stressing you out. To come out of this vicious circle, what you need to have, is a plan. On a Sunday evening or any time before that, make sure that you spend 30 minutes on your digital workspace and jot down everything including meetings, calls, either in your calendar or your to do lists or it can be even a post it note. Write it and put it somewhere where it is clear and visible to you. This way you know clearly, as to what you need to do the week ahead. Once you have your to do lists organized, you will see that you have so much time left to yourself that you can utilize it in a much better way
(ii) De clutter your space
Have you heard the saying that a cluttered space equals a cluttered mind? This phrase is legit and I personally am trying to imbibe the KonMari way of tidying up (irrespective of laundry or furniture). It is essential to make the office space look spick and span so that it promotes peace and well-being rather than stress. A clean atmosphere has a huge effect on your mood. I find that cleaning is not only therapeutic, but it boosts productivity throughout the day.
Since everyone works from home at this point, there needs to be a strict line in differentiating work space and personal space. Whatever is to be needed to make our work productive needs to be put in one place to prevent hindrance from others, especially if you have toddlers running around the house.
(iii) Take care of yourself
More than physical de-cluttering, one needs to focus more on mental de-cluttering. Some of the best and the most efficient methods that I would suggest are walking and journaling. I follow the latter more than the former, because I feel like writing down and reflecting on the previous week gives me a sense of motivation and achievement that I have come this far.It is good to always look back and to reflect on both the good and the bad that happened. It releases negative energy, boosts your mood and calms your mind
(iv) Catch up on reading
Reading is actually a good way to sort of de stress and calm oneself. When we are completely engrossed in a book, it’s like one is being transformed to another world. It can be anything from fiction to self-help books. It can be of any genre, which totally depends on you. Even if it’s a finished book, re reading is not a crime. So go on, read and nurture yourself.
If physical books aren’t your cup of tea, like I said in my previous post, you can divulge into audio books Blinkist is my favorite!
(v) Sleep on time
After you’ve followed the above steps, Sleep is your ultimatum and is not to be taken lightly on any sort. To function efficiently and to prevent mood swings, one must get at least 7 hours of sleep as a millennial.
Personally, this is the one thing I am struggling as of late. I am trying to push myself to sleep, but Netflix keeps me on my toes all night long.I have realized that this habit is quite addictive and destroying our mind at the same time. But I am setting myself a buffer time of one week, to stop watching YouTube and Netflix before going to bed. If you too feel the same, you can be in this challenge along with me.
After all in this community, we are all here to help each other aren’t we?
So there you have it peeps, these are the top 5 tips that you need to follow to have a productive week. At least incorporating one or two of these into your routine can tremendously boost your productivity.
Hope you have a great week ahead!
