In a tech savvy world as today, where everyone is glued to their handsets,I must say that one of the most innovative inventions out there is the discovery of podcasts.Being a millennial, podcasts are said to be one of the most intimate and a powerful form of media.
The one reason that it makes much more rich and reliable is, it is one tool which is simple yet sophisticated.Meaning, you don’t need to be glued to a screen to get a glimpse of what the excerpts are – you can listen to them while you’re hitting the gym, working, cleaning or even while taking a shower. The person that I am today,I totally own it to the podcasts that I have listened to.Irrespective of my Monday blues or a Productive Wednesday, podcasts have been my ultimate partner to where I can rely on for inspiration, comedy, exploration…you name it..whatever it is,you can find ’em here….
If you want to take your business to the next level, learn a new language, study philosophy, or just become a more well-rounded and interesting person, you should be listening to podcasts on a daily basis.
Would you believe that if I said that I listened to over a 100 Ted Talks in a month?
Yes,you read that right!I did listen to over a 100 Ted talks on audio all the way when I was commuting from home to work and vice versa. And while even chipping away my down time Its not everyone’s cup of tea to be engulfed on the audio version rather than enjoying it by watching the talk along with a warm beverage. It does take time to get used to this.I can honestly admit that it took me nearly 3 months to be completely suited to the idea of listening to ideas online and now here I am 2 years later, being irrevocably addicted to it !
The first podcast that I ever listened to was “The Ground Up show” by Matt D’Avella. In here,he talks about minimalism, productivity, lifestyle&growth…The way that he carved a niche on these topics were impeccable, that they have been etched to my memory But wait! Dont get me wrong here.I don’t remember every single episode, but the education and inspiration I’ve absorbed through my headphones have helped me learn, be it both in terms of productivity and sanity.Podcasts continue to influence my thoughts and goals every day.
Some of the podcasts that I highly recommend
(i) The Purpose podcasts by Jay shetty
(ii) The productivity podcasts by Mike Vardy
(iii) Mind the gap by Freshchat
(iv) Stuff you should know
(v) The writer files
You can find these on google podcasts or if you’re an Iphone user, the app will be preinstalled in your device.
The power of story telling is huge, and we get to reap the benefits. This is one healthy way to get educated. If you’re looking to be Inspired, motivated and educated then you must invest your time into podcasts.
Happy Listening !!
